31 years ago I was driving with a hangover and listening to Bill Gillham teach on Rom. 6 that we are “dead to sin and freed from it.” 31 years of freedom from addiction and what is the one thing you must know to be free? It is so simple and basic that most Christians miss it. You must know and believe who you are in Christ. Why do most miss it? They think there is something they must do. What has to happen? They must know that there is nothing to do and “apart from Christ they can do nothing” (John 15:5). The Apostle Paul summed it up in 2 Cor. 1:8, 9 “We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead”. No one gets free until they experience that. There is nothing to do. It has already been done! IT IS FINISHED!!! What did I do 31 years ago? NOTHING!
Our ministry focus is on the webinars. We are conducting four webinars a year. We have completed the first two and will do two more beginning in the fall. We will begin with the Helping Others Overcome Addictions based on the book by the same name. The first seven chapters of the book cover the problem of addiction, how people become addicted and God’s answer for addiction which is freedom in Christ and the 8th chapter is what to do and stop doing to help others overcome addictions. It is eight sessions and we will follow it with the Freedom From Addictive Behaviors Basic Webinar based on the Conference but it has been shortened to six sessions.
We are now offering the Freedom From Addictive Behaviors Conference DVD set for $10 with no shipping costs. Send me your mailing address and I will send it to you with an invoice. There are nine messages including my testimony of freedom and Julia’s testimony of freedom from codependency. There is also a Conference Manual that goes with the Conference DVD’s and a Leader’s Guide with discussion questions for use in a group setting. Both can be downloaded for free from a link on our website at the “Online Store”
