Is there a key to living life in joy, peace and freedom? Is there a secret to living life free from sin? Is there a mystery that seems to be hidden to most of us? In my last letter to you, I wrote that I had found my freedom from alcoholism 27 years ago when I believed Gal. 2:20 and understood who I was in Christ and more important who Christ was in me. Yes, there is a key, a secret and a mystery, but it has been made known, God decided to let His people know this rich and glorious secret mystery which He has for all people. This secret mystery is that Christ lives in you. He is our only hope for glory, Christ in you the hope of glory (Col. 1:27). Yes the key is that Christ is living in you (Gal. 2:20); He is your life (Col. 3:4) and you are one spirit with Him (1 Cor. 6:17)
There is a small book that explains this truth in a concise and clear way, The Key to Everything by Norman Grubb. It is only 50 pages long and you can probably read it in an hour or less. I realize Norman Grubb is controversial to some and because of this when I read it 30 years ago I couldn’t receive it. The majority of the controversy is that some think that Grubb teaches that because of our union with Christ, we become God. But that is ridiculous nonsense. On page 23 in the book, Grubb writes, “We humans are so proud there creeps into us an idea that we can be deified. That is blasphemy. There is no such thing as self-deification. The divine can dwell in the human, but forever the human is the human and the divine the divine”.

As I said “I have never seen anyone get free until they believed Galatians 2:20”. Here indeed is the “Key to Everything” in 50 pages. This is true for everyone whether you have struggled with an addiction, codependency, workaholism, perfectionism, etc. or just struggling to live the Christian life. Yes Jesus is the answer to every question and the key to everything and He lives in you.
